Travel to Masca

Masca is situated at the Teno Mountains. (TF in the direction of Adeje, then take the road to Guia de Isora, then after Chio turn off the directions of villages of Arguayo and Las Manchas and then to town of Santiago del Teide). If  you travel by car you should prepare yourself for roads that consist of hairpin bends. If you don't likes curves it'd better to take a bus from the village Garachico.

Masca is rated as the second tourist spot in Tenerife. First place goes to Teide. This place was the last refuge of original inhabitants of Tenerife - the Guanche, who held out against conquest in the caves of deep ravine.

Now it is the most spectacular hiking route of the Tenerife. 

Very famous among the ramblers.It seems that ruge cliffs touch the sky.

I'm not addicted to hiking, but can say with a confidence this travelling through the ravine is one of my brightest impressions in Tenerife.

Whilst walking through the ravine I had a felling we were walking through the history of the island. We've seen diferent sorts of palm tress, almond, lavender, tree sorrel , St.John's wort and much more. Some plants are native plant species and can be found in the paths.

You can do downhill to the beach and then take ship to Los Gigantes.

Definitely this place is worth visiting.
